Dr. Christiana Y. Isimi, an Associate Professor, obtained B.Pharm (1980) and MSc (1987) from ABU, Zaria.

 

She joined NIPRD in 1992 and obtained her PhD Pharmaceutics in 2001. A two time Head of Department, Pharmaceutical Technology and Raw Materials Development Dept from 2010-2014 and 2019.

 

She has played major roles in the development of all NIPRD drug development projects. Her expertise focuses on the development of topical and liquid oral dose formulations, and the physical properties of polymer-polymer and polymer-drug interactions but also has interest in the development of solid oral dose formulations for immediate and sustained- release applications.

 

She is the Institute’s Intern Preceptor and QMS Management representative.
