Born on 19th August at Busu village in Lavun Local Government area of Niger State.

Attended L.E.A Primary School Gaba,

Government Science College Kutigi.

First Degree in Microbiology from Usmanu Danfodiyo University SoKoto,

MSc from the University of Abuja

PhD in Medical Microbiology from ATBU Bauchi.

Started working career as a Graduate Assistant with Federal Polytechnic Bida before joining NIPRD in 1997 as a Junior Research Fellow.

Dr. Shehu has been involved in research activities and have forty-eight (48) publications in both local and international peer-reviewed Journals. Presently the Head of Department of Microbiology & Biotechnology since October 2018.
